Open Studio: Photography

Photography means writing with light. There is basically very little difference between analogue and digital photography. Analogue photography uses a camera and a roll of light-sensitive film, whereas digital photography replaces the light-sensitive film with a sensor that records light signals on a memory card. This gives digital photography the advantage that the photographer can view, check and edit the result that has been recorded.

Open Studio

The Open Studio: Digital Photography is open to anyone with an X membership who has completed a Digital Photography course, at any time when an assistant is present. All you need to do is register beforehand. The assistant is there to help when needed, to give tips and advice and to ensure that all materials and equipment are used responsibly and safely.

During the Open Studio: Digital Photography you are welcome to use the computers and software, flash equipment, lighting and backgrounds. You do have to bring your own camera.

The Open Studio is coordinated by assistants. Our assistants are volunteers. The Open Studio is only available when there are sufficient assistants. Therefore sometimes some of the studio’s will not be available during a weekend. Please have a look at the availability of other studio’s or sign up for our MAKE studio in which you can do DIY projects.
