Using playful, accessible exercises from the worlds of theatre and movement, we practise expressing yourself in an approachable way and feeling more relaxed when interacting with others.

Ticket hour - All levels

The ticket hour begins with a thorough warm-up to awaken your body and expression. For the rest of the class, you practise responding to what is happening ‘in the moment’. Through various forms of play (verbal and non-verbal), you explore: ‘How can you truly do something together with another person? How do you get through to someone when you want (or don’t want) something from them? What is it like to take up more or less space in relation to others? What is it like to take on a different role within a group? How can you feel more empowered? How can you use your body more effectively when you want to convey something? What helps you to worry less and take more action? What is it like to reveal hidden parts of yourself?’ The session concludes with a brief reflection.

Many of the exercises are done in a group setting. In a few exercises, you’ll have the chance to do this in front of the group (in a small group, as a pair, or even alone if you’re ready for it). You won’t be coached on your acting skills. The theatre exercises are primarily a means of learning something about yourself.

This is a place to try new things, experiment with new behaviours without any consequences, and discover through play how you can be even more yourself when interacting with others. The sessions are substantial enough to offer plenty of learning opportunities, but you decide for yourself how far you want to go. And it always remains accessible and fun.

Suzanne has designed and led a variety of workshops for both corporate clients and individuals. She works from a place of calm, sincerity, and attunement, encouraging students to explore new behaviours without pressure. She enjoys blending methods from different approaches into playful, meaningful experiences where you can safely experiment with what sparks your curiosity.
