New X memberships from 17 August

Good news! From Monday 17 August, the start of the 2026-2027 academic year, you'll be able to pay for your X Membership by direct debit. A feature many of our visitors have been looking forward to. The introduction of direct debit also brings a renewed membership offering. Our memberships have been redesigned to make them clearer, more flexible, and easier to use.

A membership that fits you 
You can choose from three membership options, making it easier to find one that fits the way you want to enjoy X. 

  • Xplore: Discover everything X has to offer with a one-week trial membership.
  • FleX: Maximum flexibility with a membership you can cancel monthly.
  • Year: Our best-value option if you plan to enjoy X all year round. 

Want to use the fitness facilities as well? Simply add Xtra Fit as an add-on when purchasing your membership. 

Pricing 
The new membership fees are based on last season's rates. These have been translated into the new membership structure and adjusted only for the annual inflation correction (CPI: 2.7%). No additional general price increases have been applied. 

If you choose a Year membership, you can pay either by monthly direct debit or in a single annual direct debit payment. Paying annually is the most economical option.

The Xplore trial membership is not available by direct debit and is paid through a one-time payment. 

Membership duration 
One of the advantages of the new memberships is that they are no longer tied to the end of the academic year. For example, if you purchase a Year membership on 1 December, it will remain valid until 1 December the following year. 

Both FleX and Year memberships renew automatically, so you don't have to worry about extending your membership yourself. Of course, you remain free to cancel your membership in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.
