Summer Course Ceramics
Fancy spending four days this summer completely immersed in working with clay? During this pottery course, you’ll discover just how versatile and creative this material is. From the initial idea to a finished ceramic piece: you’ll learn various techniques, experiment with shapes and create pieces that are entirely your own. Whether you want to learn something new, develop your creativity or simply fancy getting your hands dirty, this course offers plenty of scope to make, discover and create.

What will you be doing?
During this four-day ceramics course, you’ll discover the versatile world of clay. You’ll learn various techniques, such as hand-building, slip casting and working with a potter’s wheel, whilst creating your own ceramic objects. Think cups, vases, plates, sculptures or other unique designs that suit your style and ideas.
You’ll also learn more about the process of turning clay into ceramics and discover the many creative possibilities of this ancient material. You’ll experiment with form, texture and design whilst working on your own collection of ceramic pieces.

No experience? No problem
This course is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. You’ll receive personalised guidance and plenty of scope to work at your own pace, experiment and discover new techniques.
Afterwards, your pieces will be professionally glazed and fired. A week later, you can collect your handmade ceramics and take them home.
