The private course is suitable for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced saxophonist. You’ll have the freedom to learn at your own pace and explore where your challenges lie. As a beginner, you’ll learn the basic techniques of playing the saxophone: fingering, breathing and embouchure (the way you blow into the mouthpiece). If you are more advanced, you can improve your playing technique, develop your musicality and be introduced to improvisation. This course is taught by a different tutor.

Miguel Valente

Miguel Valente

Born in Aveiro, Portugal, Miguel was drawn to jazz from a very young age. He received a classical diploma in high school and moved to the Netherlands to study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he began shaping his voice as an artist. Since then, Miguel has become a distinctive presence in the European jazz scene, performing at major festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Into the Great Wide Open, and Boom Festival. As founding member of the award-winning indie jazz band NAUSYQA, his playing is defined not just by skill, but by presence, intuition, and authenticity.
