For many students, it is also a fun way to get to know a sport that you don’t come across everywhere in the world.

Association training - All levels

Korfball association D.S.K.V Paal Centraal organizes korfball training sessions in collaboration with X. The only way to participate in the korfball training sessions is as a member of the association, however, it is possible to try Korfball and visit the trainings for a few times without a membership.

There are several training sessions available for the top teams, the lower-level teams and for those who just want to play for fun. Each session starts with warm-up and stretching exercises to loosen your muscles. You then practice a number of exercises in a group and work on techniques to help your team score, such as shooting, the run up and penalty throws. You will also work on tactics to get away from your defender and create chances. At the end of the training you play a few practice matches against each other. After a few sessions you will have learned how to score and how to defend against your opponent so they don’t get a chance to score.
