Explore & Taste: Wildpicking Workshop

Friday 3 July | 16:00 – 18:00 | Join us and Denise from the garden crew for a chill summer afternoon full of nature, good vibes and tasty surprises. Head out on a guided wild-picking walk, discover edible plants and hidden flavours all around campus, and turn your fresh finds into something delicious. Expect a relaxed atmosphere, hands-on creativity and the perfect way to slow down and connect with nature this summer.

The afternoon begins at the campus vegetable garden, where Denise will introduce you to the basics of wild foraging and help you discover the edible plants growing around us. You will learn how to identify common species, forage responsibly, and explore the surprising flavours hidden in everyday green spaces.

After the introduction, we will head out on a guided wild-picking walk around campus. Together, we will search for edible plants, learn about their uses, and collect ingredients along the way.

To finish, we will gather back at the garden to enjoy a simple wild-foraged recipe, such as herbal tea or a seasonal salad, made with some of the ingredients we have collected. Participants will also receive a wild foraging guide to take home and continue exploring on their own.
