Counsellor
The counsellor is one of the experts within Boost. Are there personal problems that make you feel uncomfortable and less able to function and does this effect how you operate? Whether it is choosing a study, finding a balance in your studies, dealing with stress, study delay, expectations of fellow students, worrying about fellow students or, career questions, one of our counsellors will gladly answer any questions as a student or PhD may have about these or other issues.
On a dynamic campus personal care sometimes unintentionally takes a back seat. Boost revolves around you! We believe that prevention is better than cure and Boost can help you keep the balance. At Boost you can find specialists with various expertise in an approachable setting: counsellors and a substance use specialist, to focus on your mental wellbeing. Our experts work together so that they can help in the best possible way.

On Tuesday evenings, Boost focuses on mental well-being. The counsellors offer to listen to you, give free advice and are glad to help you think through possible follow-up steps. Don't hesitate to book an appointment.

Ellen van Veen
Ellen van Veen
Ellen has been working as a central student counsellor at TU Delft since 2025. In this role, she informs and supports students on a wide range of topics, including finances, housing, and studying with a support need. Ellen also coordinates the Student Buddy Programme and organizes events focused on accessible and inclusive education.
Jolien van der Haar
Jolien van der Haar
Jolien has been working as a student psychologist at TU Delft since 2023. She studied Clinical Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she graduated in 2014. Before she started working at TU Delft, she worked in mental health care, where she gave short-term treatments to people with various problems (including anxiety disorders and mood disorders). Jolien uses techniques from ACT and CBT in her work.
Laura Noordermeer
Laura Noordermeer
Laura Noordermeer has been working at the TU Delft as a student psychologist since Februari 2024. In 2012 she acquired her MSc. in Health Psychology and Social and Organisational Psychology at the University of Leiden. After her graduation she has worked in different settings, amongst others in Mental Health Care and a Rehabilitation Center. Laura uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR and Body-Oriented Psychology.
Olga Peters
Olga Peters
Olga has many years of work experience as a coach in the sports sector. At the TU Delft she manages the elite sport policies and gives advice to elite sport students. She helps them to combine studying and elite sport, and supporting them in overcoming the obstacles they may encounter.

The counsellors are available on Tuesday, from 17:30-18:45.

Duration session: max. 15 minutes
Note: you can book 1 time slot per day and you can cancel your session up to max 24 hours in advance.
