Commercial Dance

Commercial Dance originated in the entertainment industry and is prominently featured in music videos, TV shows, movies, commercials and live concerts (e.g. background dancers). It is a blend of different styles such as hip-hop and jazz, with a touch of modern dance and breaking. The unique goal of this high-energy dance style is to entertain and sell, in other words, to leave a lasting impression. It's all about rhythm, attitude and showmanship. A combination of sharp, precise movements with fluid, expressive body language, all designed to catch the viewer's eye.

Evianne Moonen

Evianne Moonen

Evianne studies Industrial Design at TU Delft, but her dance background lies in ballet and commercial dance. Having graduated from the National Academy of Ballet in Amsterdam, Lucia Marthas, Dolstra Dance Centre and more, Evianne teaches dance at D.S.D.A. Dynamic and Blaze. In her classes, she places focus on understanding how your body works through form, balance and being connected, followed by stage presence and building confidence.
