Beach Volleyball - D.S.B.V. Shot

Beach volleyball is an Olympic ball game. Two teams, standing on either side of the net, try to land the ball on the opposing team's side of the net. It is a variation on indoor volleyball, with a number of differences and, as the name implies, beach volleyball is played on sand – on the beach, for example. Another difference is that it is played in teams of two.

Association training

D.S.V.B. Shot provides beach volleyball training in collaboration with X. From the end of April, you can participate in around 10 (weekly) training sessions, which you can sign up for with D.S.B.V. Shot. You do need to be a member of Shot to join in the sessions (register before 1 March). You enrol for training individually; you do not need to find you own team to take part in training sessions.

Depending on your indoor and/or beach volleyball experience, you will be allocated a group at your own level. This will be your training group for the entire period. The training sessions will be geared to your level as much as possible. This means that less experienced groups will chiefly work on the basic skills and rules, while more experienced groups will spend more attention on various tactics.

Every training session starts with a warm-up, followed by a number of exercises for practising a certain skill or tactic. The sessions end with drills and/or practice games.

Good to know...

This page provides an overview of the activities offered by the association. You do not need to register for association activities through the webshop; the schedule simply shows when these activities take place.
